Hi all
I've just applied to PR via the partnership route and am awaiting the results. I'm looking at shipping out the contents of my old UK house from Spain where it's currently in Storage. I've been given a quote for a 20' container from Valencia to Auckland and included their email below. What I really wanted was to ship everything directly to Whangarei and avoid the road haulage from Auckland. Has anyone else shipped directly to Whangarei? From Spain?! Also the rate of insurance for total loss only seems high to me. What have other people been getting?

Please find below the price for shipping a 20 foot container to New Zealand. The price for part load was only 200 euros less.
Securistore to Aukland = 2533 Euros (Excluding Taxes and Insurance) (Jon: GBP1924 / NZD4779)
Insurance = 3.25% of declared Value (Jon: GBP50K - Insurance: GBP1,625)
Aukland to Whangerei = 2250 NZ Dollars, includes delivery, port handling but not Taxes or Duties. Import taxes may be due on goods purchased within last six months.
Loading Charge = 400 Euros. Includes packing/Wrapping and loading shipping container and IVA (Jon: IVA=16% (Like VAT/GST)
If you would like to go ahead with this then please let me know as soon as possible, I will then arrange for your goods to be loaded.
All payments will need to be made to the shippers / Packers nearer the time.
If you would like us to deal with the payment on your behalf then there would be an admin/credit card charge of 10%.
