Hi everyone,
Just a quick question. Does anybody have any info on child care in Hawkes bay. 2 of my children are pre school, 2 and 3.5 years old. Just wondering about facilities available and cost etc

Whereabouts in Hawkes Bay are you living ?

My little boy was 4.5 when we moved over in April, we lived in Greenmeadows to start and he went to a lovely kindy there, then when we moved over to Hastings and i started full time work, he went to the ABC Learning Centre.

The Kindy is run through Napier Kindergartens (i can find out for def for you if like) and cost me just $10 a week - that was Mon to Fri 9-12, you provided morning tea and lunch (used to stay till 12.30 for 2 days a week)

The ABC Learning Centre was about $140-160 a week and he would be there from 8-4.30, lunch and morning/afternoon teas was provided, trips also. They were fantastic.

There are a few other places too like porse, barnardos, etc

The places i used i personally couldnt fault a bit, the premises were clean, had caring people and i was very impressed.

Sorry for the delay. I have been ill with tonsilitis quickly followed by flu. I'm not sure where in Hawkes Bay yet. I hope to be working at EIT so within commuting distance. I should know more within a week or so. Thanks for the info, it's really helpful. You just realise how much there is to organise. I'll PM you kater J.
