Thank you everyone; I haven't heard anything yet except by email " The interview went well". Have scanned some docs. they wanted to see and am still waiting..........ahghghgh. But I had lovely birthday going to a West End show; thought it might be our last chance!

Hi Carey
I have been watching you posts with interest as I am also a primary school teacher. I am sure all we be well as the are crying out for primary teachers, according to all my friends over there. They are busy trying to reduce the teacher: pupil ratio from 24:1 to 18: 1 as this govt promised in their election campaign. So apparently it means that they are going to need about 700 new teachers in the next few years. If you don't get this one ( but I think you will!!) there will be others. That's what I'm telling myself anyway!

Thanks for the positive vibes; would you believe I still haven't heard! They are checking refs apparently...

Not sure about the loads of jobs bit; I've been applying for jobs and had letters back to say they had more than 60 high quality applicants! Seem to be plenty of jobs in Auckland. But yes the teacher ratio thing may help.
