Wonder if anyone can tell me what the public holidays are in NZ- we want to book some holidays as soon as we get there but need to know when the holidays are.

I know, because I'm arriving there Mon evening to run a thrre day course starting on Tuesday morning and can't get into the office on the Monday to set it all up!

No, the only place I've seen it listed is the Min of Education website http://www.minedu.govt.nz/index.cfm?layout=document&documentid=3767#P135_4967 but it's not in my (NZ) diary or on the dept of labour site as you rightly say.
