For anybody not familar, let me share with you some of Wellingtons quaint little private cable cars that some folk have going up to there front doors!

You see in Wellington (and other places i am sure) they like to build large nice house on top of hills, and by on top of hills, we mean no road access or any acces come to that! So many folk have there own little cable cars which run from the street up to there house on the hill. Driving around Wellington and area you will see many of these little delights, they certainly amaze me. You see some are very basic with just a tiny metal box that rides up the side of the hill, and some are rather more with fancy glass gondolas etc.

http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/jj241/real_rentaghost/DSCF2735.jpg
This one is one of the more basic models

http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/jj241/real_rentaghost/DSCF2736.jpg
This one seems very very long and high (no fear of heights living there)

http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/jj241/real_rentaghost/DSCF2731.jpg
This one you see has its own garage/house for the cable-car!

We lived opposite one of the cable cars in Lee's pics and our removal men had delivered there the previous week. They were not happy bunnies! Difficult job.

You can run the cars from a low voltage battery system or a generator in the event of a power cut. :exit

Strange, I assuming that you didn't edit your posts after you uploaded the pictures? If that is the case then I can tell you that you did originally post photos and they did show up, but now they are missing? I wonder if there is some limit on the thread as your earlier photos appear to be getting 'replaced' with later ones?

LOL, it was low compared to the first time we went with you Kim, but it was also very wet then remember!!

Yeah Sal, bit of a trek, but worth it, Kieran went swimming in the water underneath the falls, the water was freezing apperently, but it was busy enough with lots of people swimming under the water.

Good day out though, lovely weather and the surf was just fabulous, bodyboard has never gone so fast ..
