Here are a few from our recent road-trip of north North Island. Our route was Auckland -> Rotorou -> Taipo -> Napier -> Gisborne -> Whakatane -> Whitianga -> Coromandel Town -> Auckland.

The local council have just completed building a nice flash public toilet at Cathedral cove, and it incorporates a large one way window so that you can carry on enjoying the view.

CJ22
27th October 2008, 05:42 PM
I had a look at that. It's not complete yet (still unmarked and locked up) and does not have one-way glass, just perpex (presumably they'll change that at the last minute). It has some sort of boat ramp underneath too. It's cute, made of wood to blend in, and tucked away behind some trees. Shouldn't make too much impact on the look of the beach.

It's not too hard to find urban shots on the net. If I remember I'll take and post some pics (once I get a decent net connection). We went to the Fort Takapuna sculture park exhibit today - it was great! There's a "let's do it" atitude here that's sadly missing in the UK.
