This is what I love about NZ. This beach is at Beachlands, it's called (I swear) Sunkist Beach. It has one person on it - me. Well, 2 - Kirsty is taking the picture. This is like 3:00pm on a Sunday afternoon.
But in case you're thinking I had to drive for hours to find such splendid isolation, I should point out that the thing sticking above the horizon over my shoulder is the Auckland Sky Tower. Yes, we were 40 minutes out from central Auckland - and we went the scenic route at that.
Where are all the people...???
