Hi,
Has anyone here used the services of "New Life New Zealand" ?
I'll be happy to hear about their service.
How can I find out if they're legit ?
Thank you

Unless you have particularly complcated or unusual cicumstances, you would be better not to fork out alot of money on immigration agents as you can get all the advice you need on this forum and the process is quite straighforward if you do it one step at a time!
Here are some old threads on the subject:

I seem to remember reading somewhere that they have to be licensed now, as a relatively new thing. Since we haven't used an agent, I don't really know if they are any good, but maybe you could find out about this licensing law?
Apart from that, as said, if it's not terribly complicated, I'd do it myself.
Good luck,

Just had a look at their website and apart from the handing over the money bit, there's nothing on it that I couldn't do either!
TBH looking at their welcome pack, it looks like a range of flashy picture books and DVD's full of happy clappy people and stunning scenery. I'm sure you could source these second hand or even better, find the info on the internet for free.
Then there's this for business visa's :eek:;
The first step is to arrange a telephone consultation with one of our Business Immigration Specialists
Initial Business Telephone Consultation £100
Long-term Business Visa Full Service From £3000 +Compulsory Immigration New Zealand Fees Includes: Preparation and lodging of Immigration application
Long-term Business Visa Checking Service 800
Ouch! and their new arrivals pack is NZ$1172.00!!!!!
Cynicoren, you don't say where you're residing now, but I know you can do this without shelling out all those $$. All the information agencies provide is widely available on the net, the difference being you are in control and not relying on others. You may have to travel for your interview if you're not in the UK/US though.
Ask questions, there are enough people to help and support on here and other forums (fora)
Good luck! :nice1

Even if there is anything complicated with your application, you can ask for advice here and get excellent responses in a very timely way.
I did mine myself and it was somewhat complicated, you just get into and do what has to be done. Remember that even if you fork out all that money to the consultant, you are still the one that has to go get the medicals, the police checks, fill in all the forms with your details, chase down your work qualification papers etc.
good luck whatever you choose.

Hello everybody,
Today I live in Israel (and that's gotta change...).
I was thinking about an immigration agent because my CV is somewhat troublesome.
I have an MBA degree ( and a little, if any, relevant experience to NZ - 1.5 years as a staffing consultant and 1.5 years as an investments advisor), but I don't know if anybody is looking for that in NZ, so I thought an agent such as this could tell me and save me the flight and the dissapointment in case no one is hiring.
Actually, I asked about my employment prospescts in a few forums, even in this one, but there were no replies.
Can you think of a way to figure this out ?
Thank you.

You don't mention if you've started on the immigration road or even applied for an EOI or any visa?
So without knowing this, have you tailored your CV to NZ format? Have you sent it to any recruitment consultants?
Do you have the ability (and funds) to come with a visitors visa and have a reccie trip, while arranging to meet consultants and check out job opportunities? Can you get a visitors visa?
Sorry so for many questions but I'm still convinced that you can do all this yourself, by contacting immigration and agencies in the way 100,000 of people have before you. :D

Hi.
I didn't apply for anything yet, because I want to make sure I have good chances of getting employment there. Once it's done, I'll start with the paperwork.
I am tailoring my CV to NZ format right now. I'm not sure whether to send it to recruitment consultans now, or not. Let's say they have something for me - can they wait 2-3 months until I arrive ?
The reccie trip you mentioned - that's exactly what I plan to do once I get good impression on employment opportunities.
It's not like I don't want to save myself the money - I do, but if I decide to immigrate to NZ, it must succeed (if it won't it will destroy my family financialy), and therefore I thought using immigration agent could lower the risk.
