I've gone through the big careers' section in the Herald last Saturday, and found a couple of jobs with the same company that I found interesting, different emphasis and focus, but both areas I could cope with. Then I looked on their website, and found neither job, but another one that didn't match my skills quite that well (is a bit above my expertise and experience, I think). I applied anyway, thinking this was one of the jobs in the paper just with a slightly different title.

Now today they have the jobs they advertised on Saturday on their websites.

Will it look really silly if I apply for THREE different jobs with the same company?

I am slightly annoyed that they have job reference numbers and everything advertised in the paper three days before they actually are set up on their site, but do you think it will count against me if I apply for the ones I initially wanted to apply for?

Any input welcome, I'm finding this whole job hunt a tad slower than I expected it to be, and am getting a bit frustrated :(

one way of looking at is that it will give the impression that you are really keen to work for that particular company.

My personal opinion is that there is nothing wrong with applying for all three - they will select you based on how they interpret your application and which role they feel you are best suited for. And the fact you have applied for three (which may not be viewed by the same person in HR anyway but if it is) would demonstrate you have a wide skill base, which is a bonus to the company
