I just checked the emails and we have a reply from NZQA. My mom's assessment is in "quality checking stage" and will be posted back to us soon. :raebanana :raebanana :raebanana

I had a question as well. When we were down in NZ we went to a few estate agents and were told that we can't look into renting anywhere until we are there for good. Is this true? It seems a bit odd?

On a non-emigrating note: I won a $100 gift voucher.

In 6/8 weeks we are leaving for NZ for good. It seems so close and unreal.

What did you do to win the voucher and what will you spend it on?

What the agents told you isn't true, it can be and is done. However I'd wait until you are here, as there can be so many pitfalls renting long distance without being there to check for mouldy bathrooms or which way the sun (if any!) hits the house etc. You'll also want to check out the surrounding area and transport etc.

Unles you've got someone you can trust here already, I'd wait!

okay, i read the email as a positive responce but janmomma didn't.... but if NZQA haven't recieved any info they couldn't issue a report right?

The report will be signed by the manager and posted to us so this has to be a good thing.

I would say that it was a good thing, I believe that the "quality checking stage" is where someone else e.g. a manager just reviews your case to check that there hasn't been a mistake before they send the results back to you.

So I would expect you to get it very soon now.
