Dear all,

I have 2 questions:

- are there any Dutch people here who can tell me about the chances of getting WTR instead of PR? Any experiences so far? As I understand it is easier for the British to get PR compared to non-UK immigrants?

- when I am issued a WTR, how long do I have to enter NZ, i.e. will me visa stay valid?

I will have my interview in 2 weeks time and start to worry now that maybe I will not be granted PR...

Kind regards,

Ellen

I firmly believe that Nationality has nothing to do with time frames.Whilst we were waiting for PR (we are English) , my OH employed an IT guy from the Phillipines to work for him, his PR took 2 weeks and at that time we were still waiting for ours! Thankfully ours has now come through ,( it took 12 months!).
I think the factors that do affect timings are where you apply, the competence of your case officer (we had 3 , only one of which seems to know what he was doing!)and the outcome of your medicals, we had very minor medical problems , however it held up our case for months!
Good luck, hope all goes well,
Denise
