Hi folks
Maybe its a dumb question ...
We will be arriving in NZ on work visas while PR is sorted out.
I know a VISA is to get into the country but do we then need a PERMIT too, once there ?
thanks again :raebanana 39 days left !

Yes, you need a permit to permit you to stay in the country.
The type of permit that you should be granted matches the type of visa that you have e.g. if you have a work visa when you arrive then you will be granted (hopefully) a matching work permit (so you are permitted to work).

thanks Ian - you're a bit of a guru round these parts !
i presume that you go to NZ with the work visa in your passport and then get issued with the work permit at the airport ?

Yes, just a stamp which gets done at immigration in the airport.
