does anyone of you brainy lot know if an HNC obtained in 1980 and awarded by the 'joint bodies' ie Institute of Eletrical Engineers, is OK or do we need to get it put by NZQA.

The 'joint bodies' became BTEC the following year - just our luck.

Just to be clear it's OH HNC, not mine, I'm nowhere near that old..:exit

Cheers

If we do need to check with NZQA - for ITA do you need a full assessment or does a preliminary do?

One way round it may be to contact BTEC with the candidate no, should be on the certificate, and ask for a replacement certificate. It may have BTEC on it then. Normally costs around £15-25. Might work????

we had to do this in 2001 and were referred back to IEEE and his 'new' certificate says 'joint bodies'

but thanks anyway
