Hi Everyone,

Already participated in a few posts and thought it was time to introduce ourselves....

Although living in a very beautiful part of the country, we all have this incredible urge to get away from the UK to hopefully a better lifestyle and a most importantly, a better future for our kids.

This forum is a mind of information and although our initial research had been elsewhere, it is amazing to find that everyone takes the time to help others - I seem to remember these morals when I was growing up but they have been lost in the passage of time!

Bore da. Currently living on a small holding near to Llannefydd, couple of miles outside of Denbigh and although everything is fine when you get behind your own 4 walls, all is not well across the UK as a whole - definitely on the downward spiral! The whole family are very disillusioned and have completely bought in to the idea of starting afresh.

With friends in Christchurch who moved across some 10 years ago and have never come back, we do have a leniency towards South Island. That said, my wife and I are planning a 3 week recce trip in March, flying into Auckland and then making our way down the country, eventually ending up in Christchurch, for the bulk of our stay. Who knows, with never having been out to NZ before, my guess is that we are going to find it very difficult to choose between all the marvellous locations we are likely to see.

It is early days yet and before we can confirm our travel dates, we would like to see our EOI approval. Obviously, the key factor in deciding the final location to settle will be job dependant. I am brushing up that C.V. at the moment and in the process of identifying key agencies.
