I'm not in NZ yet but am awaiting replies with interest. That is my favourite flavour. My 2nd favourite is Haagen-Dazs strawberry cheesecake.

I'm from NZ but have been overseas for 10 years (returning in April).
I ate mint chocolate chip icecream in NZ for 26 years. And it had better be there when I get home!

Yup, Tip Top make it. Go to a place that has plenty of Tip Top cone flavours (any bigger dairy that sells Tip Top oughta do it), and you will find it. I saw it just last week, so yes it is still available. What about that good ole Kiwi invention Hokey Pokey, you have to try that one as well.....:nice1

Yup, you do get it but it tends to be from ice cream stalls rather than the supermarket shelves. OH loves it too.

They also do it at Natural NZ ice cream outlets. I've seen it in supermarkets a few times, but most dairies have it down south *yum* - and also have a look to see if you can get it in the Deep South range.

Yes it's here - and an even brighter green than it was in the UK.
Why are ice creams such lurid colours over here? Lots of them look so disgusting but have to say I'm totally hooked on real fruit icecreams - yum. I've also convinced myself it counts as one of my 5 a day fruit/veg portions.:nice1

One of my favourite posts on this forum :laugh
Fear not; it's here; the Kiwi ice-cream obsession shows no sign of flagging.

When I was little my favourite was fish and chips ice cream ... gummy fish and chocolate chips in a blue-coloured ice cream.
Very yum :D

One ice cream flavour I can't seem to find anywhere is "cookie dough"
They do a cookies and cream but it isn't the same.

One of the ice cream places in Browns Bay does After Dinner flavour (basically mint choc chip / After 8 flavour).
There is also a Tip Top (I think) ice cream factory shop in Wairau Park, if anyone wants to know where let me know and I'll look up the name of the road on the map.

I even have other people scouting, no luck so far. Is it just available on the south island or something. Even those who said it was around can't find it. Had people looking in Tauranga even at ice cream stalls. Oh well the search continues.....:(
