Hello to all. I am a long time motorbike forum user and I must state that this is a very well done up forum as well. :nice1

My wife and I visited New Zealand for our honeymoon back in 1991 and never stopped loving it. So, I'm dipping my toe into the research needed to make the move. Yeah, seems like a long time to "think about it", but as many of you have stated, it is not a "me too" decision. Ya really gotta wanna go! So the learning begins...

Any one use or heard of this guide (http://www.arriveandthrive.com/nz/index.htm)?

I'm quite sure we'll speak again, but I'm not done scouring the archives yet!

Cheers,
sds :cheers

Hi there sds

We did have a brief look into that guide but after studying this site I have to say I have never been stuck for an answer to a question. What route are you planning to take eg. skilled migrant?

That is the hope, yes. I printed the outline of the guide and will read it through. It always nice to have "cradle to grave" information on topics such as this with all the stumbling blocks it will present. But your point is well taken. The motorbike forums are much the same way once you find reliable contacts within the "neighborhood" :D

And you? What approach have you taken, or chosen?

Cheers,
sds

Paul is Electrician so skilled migrant. I am just going along for the ride but I have been the one who did all the necessary form filling and research as I had more time. We hope to fly in April. Started this process last jan. It really isn't too bad once you get started and just do one thing at a time. Just ask away, brilliant folk on here

I have found this board invaluable. So much information, support and witty posts. A great bunch of people. Very encouraging about the kind of people attracted to NZ.

Best Wishes, Fi.
