This is my first time on here so Hello all.
My husband and I are considering a move, he's a plumber for our local council and at the mo services gas appliances. He has a c and g in crafts plumbing, one in advance crafts plumbing and one in domestic appliances( or something)
, here lays my problem, I'm all up for it and ready to put in a EOI but tother half ( I'm from Leeds) is more than a little concerend over what type of job He'll be expected to do, as He put's it He doesn't want to start again. He doesn't really want to work with gas out there,just plumbing.

Can any plunber's share their storys and experience with me about finding work, registration, pay and hours etc. Any info gratefully recieved.

Have a forum search for plumbers or gas as I'm pretty sure this has been covered before. Given the amount of new building going on too, I'm sure he'll be in heavy demand.

Have you done an EOI points assessment?

We have done a points indicator and came out 135 without a job offer.

Another worry is the housing market, uk expecting a big drop and worry the house wont sell.

Yes from what I read that'll be the biggest hurdle. :(

I know there are some plumbers and gassies on here, so I hope they see this and can answer.
