Hi!
We submitted our ITA on Jan 17th (without a job offer). According to NZIS, it can be between 1-4 months to be allocated a case officer and then a further 1-3 months to receive a final decision. I would be really interested to hear how long the whole process has taken other people without job offers and whether it nearer the 1 or 4 month time scale!
Many thanks :cheers

It took us longer than that (nearer 7 months) but we were refered to the medical assessor which held it up somewhat.
It is such a long frustrating process! Worth it in the end though
Good luck

We sent our completed ITA back on 9th July 2007. We then heard pretty much nothing until a couple of weeks ago. On Thursday 7th Feb, I have my telephone interview with the Case Officer, so we're almost there (fingers crossed).
Saturday 9th Feb will be 7 months, which is in line with the worst case scenario from the NZIS London waiting times. It's been very frustrating.

Sit back, grit your teeth and wait. It took over 3 months to get a case officer and then it took another couple of months. Not a process for the faint hearted. Stick with the forum - we'll keep you going!

As per our timeline on our signature.. lockstock is right... take a deep breath and prepare to be (very) patient!.

Do people think that people with job offers tend to be prioritized? I don't mean to sound selfish, but I'm hoping two skill-level-1 job offers might get us closer to the front of the queue.

Yes - definitely. If you have a job offer, it'll probably get done in 1 - 2 months. NZIS are quite open about this. Since you've got two job offers, you must have a spare one - can I have it please? ;)
