Watched it, didnt manage to get a good look as it was too sore on the old peepers!

But the light quality went all spooky and kind of greyish!

Tried to take a pic too, even from under AJ UV buggy sun shade, I didnt get a good view!

We looked at it through a bit of welder's glass. It showed up beautifully - looked as if a bite had been taken out of the sun. The kids didn't want to believe they were looking at the sun - it looked like the moon!

We saw it with a home-made pinhole camera. The eclipse was stunning, and it reminded me of the legends (Chinese I think) that eclipses were caused by a dragon trying to eat the sun.

We did the pin hole camera projecting onto a screen. Even the neighbours came to look. "my turn, my turn..." seemed to be the most common cry!

One cornflakes packet, some aluminium foil, and some sticky tape. It took all of five minutes to make. Years of Blue Peter were not wasted after all.

Tia - OH saved a broken bit (from a welder's workshop) in 1995 for "any future eclipses". Is that well prepared or what??
