I wonder if anyone could help with this question?
I have a student visa which expires at the end of March. I don't intend to renew it, and I will be returning to the UK. Is there any possibility of NZIS giving me a visitor permit so that I can stay on here for another month or two (no longer)? Has anyone done that after holding a temporary visa?
I know there are restrictions on the amount of time you can visit NZ, but do those restrictions include periods for which you have held another type of visa (other than visitor)?
I'll ask this of NZIS I guess, but I need to make an appointment as they don't have a drop-in facility in Auckland, and I've read bad reports on here about their phone helpline.
Any thoughts much appreciated.
