Hi
I don't know if anyone can help but I'm very confused. I haven't quite got the hang of the terminology and I think I keep jumping from one thing to another. My husband was given a print out from somewhere saying that New Zealand was in need of skilled floorlayers and things didn't look set to change in the near future. I've looked on all the different lists and I can't find this information again. I did find something in the archives but that was in 2005 and I cant find the NZCO code 74331 anywhere. Have I got it completely wrong and they no longer need floorlayers or am I just looking in the wrong place. I hope this isn't too broad a question but perhaps there's some floorlayers out there who can help. Thanks

I have seen floorlayers on a list whilst browsing through cannot remember if it was the Immediate skills shortage or the Long term skills shortage - check out the NZIS website , they have them both on.

Good luck :nice1

I really feel for you- at the start of the process it's jolly hard to get a grasp on the whole thing and it seems to slip in and out of focus.

I'm not sure if this helps you or not but on the

Appendix One: Immediate Skill Shortage List
This is the revised Immediate Skill Shortage List (ISSL), agreed changes will come into effect on 30 July 2007.

Page 9 has some information about Flooring Tradesperson (74331)

http://www.immigration.govt.nz/NR/rdonlyres/F406C0C0-7E1B-42A8-8429-7C76D128D1A4/0/ISSL.pdf

If the crosses in the boxes mean it is a shortage, it looks good for you :)
