Greetings all!

We are a family of 4 (soon to be 5). My husband and I have decided to pack the bags and wave goodbye to the US. I am originally from here and hubby is from the Philippines. The one thing I know we will miss the most is the weather in Arizona. We have been living here for 10 years and one gets used to having summer year round and 110F weather. Other than that I think adjusting to life in NZ will be fairly easy for us, but that remains to be seen. :)

We are expecting a long tedious trail of paperwork but are committed to making this change. I have been reading this forum on and off for the last 2 years and look forward to chatting with you all. I have learned so much of NZ already and am just excited at our decision to finally relocate.

It's VERY exciting, isn't it? Good luck with all your plans, and with the arrival of number 5.:)

Arizona - my very favouritest place in the whole wide world.(sigh)I was born in the wrong place at the wrong time. Even before NZ. It was just too hot and we were on a ranch holiday. Not sure I could have lived there. Good luck with your move and welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the forum LD. Good to see you've signed up after 2 years lurking (reading) in the background.:nice1

Hamilton is a bit cooler today at 23 degrees but it has been in the high 20's/low 30's for the past 3-4 weeks, with no rain. So depending on where you are aiming to move to you'll still get plenty of sunshine - just not all year.:D

Thank you for such a warm welcome. We are hoping the process runs smoothly for us.

If it was up to me I would pack and go tomorrow, thankfully hubby is levelheaded enough for both of us. :)
