Hi all,
well we just submitted our EOI on 125 points, will it be enough? We have no job offer with that.
Has anyone been plucked from this dark pit with just 125 points?
That EOI is very illogical in its design and wording, for all we know we have missed out on more points. Maybe we should have used a immi agent.
Oh well lets wait and see, tell us about your experiences with this part of the application processes and about any mistakes you made.

Thanks all

David & Janice

I submitted in 120pts in Nov 07 with no job offer, what the hell just go for it, got the ITA in JAN. I did spend over 6 months checking and double checking the EOI and still made 1 error, which was the dependent children section Duhhh. It should be OK as it does give you a chance to make any minor alterations on the ITA. I now have a huge ring binder collating all the information required.

We did it on 115 points (I think - it was certainly low though) and the job offer came much later. Don't worry. If you've got the skills, they'll want you.(all other conditions being met) And with half of NZ moving to Oz they're even more reliant on our skills coming in.

We did it on 130 and no job offer. We were selected the day we submitted EOI but everything else took a long time - see signature for timescale. They do seem to be processing quicker now. You have nothing to lose. Good luck.

Hi David and Janice, after years of saying we really want to live in NZ we put our EOI in on Jan 17th. I didn't have a job or offer but did have quals and experience in a skills shortlist job. Over the last couple of years no-one has been selected with under 140 points and no job offer in the first few months of the year, the requirements tend to drop as the year progresses. So, we expected months of waiting....got selected on Jan 30th. Panic Stations now! Be warned it might be quicker than you expect! Good Luck!!
