Hi.
I will be flying into Auckland, and need to get from there to the docks (to meet the QE2). How long would you expect this journey to take (in the middle of the day), and should I look at taxi, bus or train? Any advice and guidance welcome...
Thanks,
Jane

Sorry, I can't answer your question, but I just wanted to say: Oh! How exciting! I bet you can't wait to see your family again.

Hi JoJo - thanks :)
Yes, Very Much looking forward to seeing them... only 2 weeks now....
So I'm trying to sort out the travel arrangements to get them (and me) back down to the Kapito Coast.
Booking tickets on the Overlander was the easy bit! I need to get transport for myself from Auckland airport to the docks to meet them, then get us all to a hotel near the station (wherever that is!!!), and then on the train...
Cheers!

There's an airport bus service that goes right there.

If you click on the route & times button you'll see a map. Where the QE2 docks (or has done in the past - I assume it's the same place this time) is right beside stop number 6 on the map. (as is the station)
