Well I have my student visa approved and the blue sticker in my passport. They gave me the variance to allow me to work without my even applying for it and they waived outward travel. Since my degree is in Secondary teaching they even included a pamphlet on Skilled Migration with the visa. And here I was afraid to tell them I was planning to stay after I graduate in November and get a job.

Also I have to say they were fast!!! I sent my application by fedex Thursday afternoon, and it arrived back with the visa on Monday morning! That was one business day it was in their office.

I arrive in Auckland on the 20th of February and I am so glad to get out of the bitter winter here in Boston. I also have to say the info I have gotten on this board has been invaluable in getting evrything in place for this move. Even though I lived in NZ in 2006 I didn't know half of what I needed to know to make this move before I started reading this board.
