Not to state the glaringly obvious here, but could there be a connection between 'all day at wine fest' and 'clogged up head' rather than allergies? :)

On a more serious note, two of my kids have been sneezing lots over the last couple of weeks, and I have no idea what it could be. So I'd be interested in any suggestions as well. It's not really the typical allergy season, is it?

My uncle is allergic to New Zealand - whenever he goes he needs to stock up on the anti-histamines. Apparently it is something to do with the pine sap and tree pollen.

I personally think that it is 'cos he is French! :)

Hi,

Funny you should say this as I am also intrigued...I have never had any allergies before, but last weekend took part in a triatholon..and afterwards couldnt stop sneezing....then I woke up the next day, eyes watering, could hardly open eyes..puffed up, head ache...not a well bunny!!!

Went to chemist, got some a-h, and after a few days felt loads better.

Thinking it was maybe the grass?? It could of been anything in a 50k radius as I was breathing so heavily!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

J xx

Hope your better soon!

I too sneezed and clogged up for most of yesterday, worse than normal. I have spent last 6 months trying to work mine out as its all year round. We live near trees but did not in the last house.

I woke up today sneezing as it had just started to rain, which knocks of the pollen. but I do suffer with oak barrelled white wine too.

There is an NZ pollen calendar here:

I have a year round allergy too and tried taking some Zyrtec liquid over Xmas that we had bought for our son. It worked well but was expensive. Zyrtec pills were expensive too - I think they work out to over $1 each.

My wife then found a prescription pill called Razene which has the same contents as Zyrtec but are only $5 for 90 pills! One trip to the doctor later and I have 3 months supply.
