Hi all, can just doing my partnership residency now, was wondering about the cost involved, can somebody let me know the following:
cost of application -
cost of medical -
cost of migrant levy -
cost of police check -
I know the medical and police check will vary but just an approximate figure would be great, just trying to put a total on the whole thing thats all
Thanks all in advance

just to clarify
EOI - £155 ish
ITA £685
levy £105 per person
(as far as I know, perhaps the partnership fees are different from PR?)
medicals - I think £350 is optimistic, there's a thread on here somehwere about how much people paid and the average is about £500 (including x-rays)
police check £10 (or £35 if you want a quick response)

dusk - £500 sounds like a lot for medicals - we paid £260 each at a private hospital in Kensington (Cromwell Hospital) a few months ago. No waiting list, excellent treatment, £260 for medical, blood tests & x-rays. I found the NHS to be more expensive for some reason...
Police checks £10 each
EOI - $400 (£153 for us, varies in £ according to exchange rate)
PR visa - £685
Migrant Levy - £115 each (think this is a set amount in NZ$ too)

perhaps I misremembered the thread, it is monday after all - possibly the average was £500 per couple, which sounds a bit more likely doesn't it *slaps self*

You won't need the EOI for the partner visa ;) Fees will be for the application, medical, migrant levy (once application has been successful) as well as any extras like sollicitor's fee for witnessing the partner sponsorship form, as well as police checks.
I think the police checks for the UK are £10, the medical will really depend where you take them (prices can vary so shop around :) ). The sollicitor witnessing bit was £5 for me. Cost for the application and migrant levy will be different than what I paid cos I think NZIS fees went up, there should be a fee finder on NZIS main page where all the info should be :)
Good luck!

Only you need a medical - kiwi partner is healthy enough already after being born in such a wonderful place :D
Going on our fees for Feb 2007 (which are now a year out of date)
medical: £265 at Dr Million's in Manchester city centre (including bloods and xrays)
application: about £380 I think, but I know it's gone up since.
police check: £10 - but back then only the partner needed the test... I think the Kiwi also needs one now!
migrant levy: £105 just for you.
