My wife has a job interview tonight - first ever in her pyjamas :raebanana - by teleconference. It's with a sec. school in Whangarei which is showing some interest in her as a specialist teacher of English. It will be around 11pm our time, and she is a morning person. :wah

Wish us luck!!!:cheers

Thanks guys. Dusk - er, early evening nap???? we have two kids and with the excitement levels about the job, there shall be no napping tonight! Thanks for the thought though. If you have one on our behalf, maybe that would do the trick? :D

My OH will be doing exactly the same thing at exactly the same time. Nice to know that there are other people riding the same rollercoaster if you know what I mean!!

no problem - I'll kick the cats out and then all will be an oasis of peace and tranquility!

I know what you mean about the nerves and excitement level though, everyone will be totally wide-awake! :D

We will be holding thumbs for you guys as well. It really is unbelievable how excited we get about things like this.

Our future rests on it, so I guess we should be excited and nervous, though!

Thanks again Dusk - just wish I could have the nap but there is no ways!!! <<= this is a self portrait after too many cups of coffee at 11:30pm...

Thanks for all the wellwishers' support. It obviously did the trick, as we now have a job offer!

The interview went very well and my wife has been offered a LTR post for the rest of this year and a permanent appointment for next year, should circumstances allow.

It is a post for a specialist English teacher at Tikipunga High, in Whangarei.

Things just kicked up a gear!

Thanks for all the bananas, wine and to Dusk for having a snooze on our behalf!

Can't wait till we arrive! Should be sometime in April - and hopefully not in May, because Martha will start work on 5 May!!!

Well done, and good luck with the next gear. Even with the exchange rate flights are still looking reasonable for April even ex-Durban. Waiting for a quote from Singapore air (via Flight Centre) but Emirates is pretty cheap (considering the distance). And ignore Saa's website price, it is much cheaper through an agent.

All the best, and particularly to Martha in her new job.
