Hi All

Can anyone help me with info regarding the 2 year study option that I know is available to people under the age of 45 (in Australia!!). I wondered if anyone knows of a similar scheme in NZ which entitles you to apply for residency once you have completed the 2 years?

They include trade courses (i.e. bricklaying, hairdressing etc) and also allow you and your spouse to work 20 hours per week whilst studying!

Any help much appreciated.

If your qualification would earn you additional points for your Skilled Migrant application, you can use these points to apply for immigration.

As a student you can usually work 20 hours per week and (from memory) if you are studying certain skilled qualifications, your spouse can also qualify for a work visa.
