Anyone knows whom do NZQA writes to get a degree verified/checked? Here is scenarion.

A college is affiliated with university and all academic activities including examination are held there. University only awards degree on the recommendation of college. Now problem is that there are too many colleges affiliated with that university and getting the degree verified by university (awarding body) takes atleast six months.

Will NZQA write to college for verification, if they do so, college will check and verify credentials quickly. Any idea?

Can you get a letter on headed paper FROM that university, or (second choice) that college, to submit along with your forms, spelling out what you've said in your post and suggesting that any checking should be done with the college? Has to be worth a try, I'd've thought. That way, the NZQA would be less likely to suspect a dastardly plot, which they just might if it's only you making the suggestion.

they wrote to my college and to the group that did my NVQ courses it probably helps if you can give them names ,i couldnt and it seemed to take for ever for them to get a response.

To be realistic, NZQA is one of the worst place where your application could go. I have submitted all the required documents and paid extra money for the fast track option, but all in vain. I got application no, but the case verification officer seems to remain always away from his office or may be working part time. They are mess and I also don't know who to complain. May be some one also give me good advice as well. My application is there from almost 4 months now, still in dark corner....it is frustrating for me
