No problems with Conroys who moved us from Welly to here. Their quote was ok, the salesman professional enough and the packers down right excellent. Nothing was too much trouble.

Unloading this end though they just sent the Conroys lorry/driver overnight and brought in crew from Hookers to unload.

They started off well, arriving early and then just went downhill. Laziest bunch of so and so's. I had to really work hard to get them to assemble stuff like beds and unpack anything. We'd paid for a full pack and unpack.

It was only that I insisted on checking the rooms before I signed their chitty that I found they'd planned on doing a dump and run.

NEW ZEALAND VAN LINES who not only were responsible for our MAF fiasco but they have the most incompentent, rude staff this side of the zambezi. Their packers treat your stuff like footballs - don't even go there. :mad:

Law onto themselves .... I'd come across adverse threads about them after I'd gone with John Mason & dreaded the outcome. Guess what?!!! They were true to form & as bad as feared. I've posted some comments in Jades OP.

I agree with Smiler that my main beef with NZ vanlines was how rude their staff were on the phone when I was trying to sort out delivery of 5 boxes that we sent ahead of our container - they were so rude and abrupt!!

However, we received a completely different service when our container rrived - we were given a named person to deal with and all was very speedy and polite, so I'm guessing that they offer a much enhanced service for full container loads than they do for a few boxes. So I haven't voted them as bad because the service for the container was pretty good overall, although still nowhere near as good as that offered by Brittania in the UK.
