So on Friday we moved to "Application Received" on the NZIS website and I can see the funds have been taken off my Visa card as well.

As we do not have a job offer yet, I know we are not priority - but from people's more recent experiences, what can we expect now? I know there will be a phone interview.....but how long to wait before I start chasing things along? I don't want to pester and put backs up, but the desire to email is a strong one to resist :P

Hi Neil. :yes We are in the same position, and your fingers are iching to pick up the phone or e-mail.A migration company has sorted all our paper work out(looked too much like hard work, and not brill with organising). He has told us an interview phone call usually comes 2 to 3 weeks after ITA has been sent.Of course if work loads are heavy this could take longer.Daves job contract was meant to start 1 Feb(no chance)His new firm are very understanding though(Thank God!!) Hope you havent long to wait.Best of luck :hopeso :hopeso :hopeso Bev & dave.

Ours took about three weeks - maybe because I phoned on the first day of the third week - and hey presto - PR in principle (because we didn't send the migrant levy at the same time).

One wonders if we hadn't phoned that day, when the PR would have been offered!!

My advice, and this came from the case officer before we sent off the ITA paperwork - give it 3 weeks.

Good Luck!!
