Please someone tell me I haven't been stupid. Our visa situation was on hold as we hadn't sent in the job offer. Now we have and it had a start date of 1st April. I have emailed our CO and she has passed it on with her recommendations to someone else for a second opinion :uhoh I haven't heard anything for 2 weeks so emailed them today to ask how much longer etc, in a nice grovelly kind of way.Now I know I shouldn't of but we have got on and sorted removals, flights etc. The dates can be changed up to 7th March but I am now getting worried we won't get visas in time. Any thoughts?
Thanks
Nat

I think you should be ok, once a decision is made it all happens pretty quick. Just make sure your case officer is aware of your flights etc.
Good luck

It'll happen. If you feel like doing something, e-mail your CO say you haven't heard from them for a while and ask if there's anything else they need from you. They have to answer with something.

Thanks all. Typically after sending email we had a letter from CO today asking us to fill out visa application and send proof of being able to support ourselves for 3 months ie. bank statements. I have posted these back 1st class today..I hadn't let on that we had booked flights as understood they strongly advise not to until visas have been received. Should I now let them know the dates etc or do you think we will get our passports no problem?

We told our case officer when we intended to fly and they assured us that everything would be ready in time. As it was it only took a month for her PR to come through so they got it to us a month before we flew.
