Do you need a visa to go on a 4 week holiday to NZ, no plans to stay, just a nice long holiday. Or can you just go!!!

if you have a british passport you can go to NZ on holiday for upto 6 months.........your passport is stamped when you arrive with an automatic visa to stay for this period of time. If you stay over 6 months without applying for an official visa (whichever would apply to your circumstances) you would be an illegal immigrant. Hope this helps and happy holiday we were there in November 2008 and hopefully if everything goes to plan permanently from September 2008. :cheers

I may be wrong but as a UK citizen I am sure you can stay for up to 6 months, possibly 9 with an extension.
