I just love the way the trees and grass are so close to the beach :nice1 Inlaws go to beach with their fish and chips after work sometimes and sit under the trees - now I know what they're talking about. Thanks a mil. Keep 'em coming.

Great Pics,
We went to orewa beach the other day and it was lovely - the board surf, wind guys were amazing ( don't know what they're called - have a surfboard with a big parachute type thing and it lifts them out of the water and then they surf on impact - awesome)
Are you coming to the Auck meet next Sunday??

You nearly caught us there Arlevien, Hubby and I were in that spot at full tide, when there was no more beach left, about 11-11.15, there were all these cute kids about 5-6 marching along they were dressed as mini life savers (they start young here) Normally the sea is quite calm but we have had a strong Easterly for a while which seems to chop it up a bit. Lovely pics.

What a great first day at work it was! Folks are so friendly and so concerned that they handed me 2 thick manuals(500+ pages each i think ) to read so I could get started after the formal introductions. :wah
Rush hour traffic was bad southward to the city on the motorway ( max i can get was 25kmh ).. so if u are coming in from the north to auckland be ready...
..and yeah I was on a suit today and well over dressed compared to the ppl on the office on shirt and slacks. geesh. But it was great and I felt so welcomed! But unlike in NYC.. no drinks/cocktails after 5.
Here are some pics of my close encounters with the locals for u all. A bit cloudy that day so lighting is not so good.
