Hi
We've been here 5 months and I do struggle to find shoes that fit my pre-schoolers properly - quick question - what is the difference between UK and NZ kids shoes sizes - anyone know where I can find a conversion chart on the net ??My 4 year old is really hard to find anything that fits properly!

I miss Clarks
(I know you can get them here, and we've had a couple of pairs - but they don't do the width here and that's my main problem as my little ones have wide feet)
Cheers!

I have the same problem, little chubby wide feet! :)

I'm not sure where you are but this shop will do its best to find a good fit:

www.futurefeet.co.nz

The Ponsonby branch went through about 8 pairs of sandals before they found a pair that fitted my eldest son - so it is a thorough measuring service. They do do Clarks, but they also do other ranges.

I think someone on the forum had drawn round their kids feet and sent them back to the UK, it doesn't allow for height issues but does allow for width and length.

Cheers

Just found this article:

www.kiwifamilies.co.nz/Topics/Back+to+School/School+Shoes.html

Specialist shoe shops will be able to help fit your child's shoes correctly, and many provide brands that come in half sizes and various widths. Specialist stores often have a podiatrist on hand to answer any curly questions, or at the very least they are able to refer you to one they recommend.

So it implies some brands do come in widths in NZ - just have to find out where!

Just found this, its for trainers, but it says they are available in extra wide width, can't see how to select it online, maybe you need to go to their shops?
