We slowly getting ourselves organised with our big move from South Africa mid March - accommodation done lights and telephone car etc - but I am hoping to have broadband done before we get there - can anyone tell me how I go about getting that organised so that I can be in contact as soon as I get there. I have family around the world who will be wanting to find out our progress.

i didnt think you could sign up for broadband when you're not in the country..someone else might be able to help you on that question but maybe you'd be better of to contact the company you want to go with directly.
do you know who you're going to go with? heres a good thread here (http://www.emigratenz.org/forum/showthread.php?t=11375&page=3&highlight=broadband+companies) about peoples experiences with different companies.
companies i can think of off the top of my head xtra (telecom's internet),orcon,ihug,telstraclear,slingshot...
