It's about $3 for a 3-4 month supply, plus a very small pharmacy charge (about $1 or so).

One thing, they only have one brand here, Eltroxin, so after you come here and after you've emptied your bottle, you will get the subsidized pills, one brand for all. Tablets of 50 mg.. by the way.

It'll only be $3/4 if you are registered with the PHO through your doctor, or if you have a Community Services Card (low income) - It'll be $15/16 otherwise.

Just to add to Questors post. The charge will be for 90 days supply only and don't forget to include either the doctors fee if you go to see them or the fee the surgery may charge for issuing the script.

Also Thyroxine tablets are only available in 50mcg and 100mcg strengths so it means either cutting tablets in half or altering the dosage regimen if you are on say 25mcg or 75mcg daily.

Eltroxin is not a bad brand to have, it was the original brand in the UK before everything went generic.
