Hi All,

I use all the usual job sites (seek.com et)c to find IT roles but can anyone tell me if there are any NZ-based newspapers, trade magazines etc which are also good sources?

All ideas gratefully received.

You might find it beneficial to contact some of the larger IT companies directly as they do not always advertise posts.

Hi Stephen,

My OH is an IT Project Manager and when looking for work from the UK and during his reccie was in touch with the following recruitment agencies:

Agility
Potentia
RecruitIT
Sapphire Technology
Hudson
Candle
High Street IT
Absolute IT
CPU Recruitment
Talentpoint

I think he found most, but not all, of them very useful. Basically, before he actually arrived in Auckland on his recce he had one interview set up with Telecom via a direct approach (he submitted his CV to their website). He managed to get another interview set up with EDS (again via their website) but all the other interviews he had while he was in Auckland (including the one with Fronde who he is now working for) came via agencies.

That being said, some of the agencies didn't do anything. He used RecruitIT, Hudson and Potentia for the interviews he had.
