Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone could offer any advice. My mum and dad have just submitted their EOI and were selected. They forgot to put in details about their job offer so got a letter saying that they had been unsuccessful. They contact the NZ immigration in London and emailed a copy of the job offer. Now NZ immigration are saying that my dads qualification is not valid, however last year they submitted an EOI and the qualification was not an issue as it had been verified by the NZQA. I understand that the verification is valid for a 12 month period and 12 months hasnt passed just yet. Just a bit baffled as to what to do next. My mum is speaking to the immigation on Monday, im just wondering if they may have got it wrong and the case officer we are dealing with may have made a mistake, fingers crossed as my dad is 56 at the end of April so really needs to get this moving asap.

Any advise would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Tony&Kat

Hello Tony&Kat,
I cannot begin to imagine how helpless you must feel right now.
The only advice I can offer you is let your mum talk to immigration on Monday. I have found that they do listen to reason and if they can somehow fit you into the regulations they will.
Good luck!

Good thoughts for your parents.

The only thing I can think of is if it is related to the skilled job?
The qualification should still be valid for points though on its own.
Good luck.
