I've changed my oil... Where can I take the old to be re-cycled? (The guy at 'Toolshed' said I should put it on my firewood to burn in the wood burner...that's what he does...)

Depends where you live really, but most bigger centres have recycling depots of some description. I live in Wellington and take my used oil to the dump, there is a recycling unit there for it.

Ask at a local garage, they usually have it taken away by commercial recyclers. It might be a good idea to take it to one you buy petrol from, they might not be inclined to do you the favour otherwise.

You also can alwasy check with your council's waste treatment plant. They might help :)
Coz the local garage would pass it to a chemical disposal company and they give it to waste treatment plant. So if they don't take it they would reccomend one of their clients
