Received results of medicals, can you open envelope or do they have to stay sealed.

Actually, most people will suggest you do take them out and check them. We actually sent ours without envelopes at all, just in the pile in the right order. Haven't got PR yet though, so this is no proof that our approach is acceptable, but they did confirm that we had met the basic requirements for lodgement, so we assume they made a brief check of the contents of our 2kg pile.
Also, when we checked ours the doc had forgotton to tick the HIV block (the bloods reports have the information in them of course), so it is worth going through them.
NZIS remind us that the medicals must be the originals, and that it is not required of us to send photocopies of the medicals, so the implication is that they assume you take it out of the envelope in the first place. Nowhere does it indicate that you shouldn't anyway.
