Can anyone please help me - I am having trouble with my HP 510 battery and have made many calls here in SA to try find out about getting replacement - nobody has any in stock and as we are due to fly out on 15 March - we running out of time. Would I be able to purchase one in NZ and can anyone advise me what the costs would be?
This is so frustrating - should have orderd one months ago - and now we cant get one here.
Thanks again

Does it still run OK with the power cable in? I appreciate that the battery is useful and serves as a UPS, but I have always wished for a bit more life out of it! If I am lucky I get just over an hour of use. So I use mine mostly plugged in. Can't answer about availability in NZ though, being an international brand you should be ok. Model number might just vary. I'm sure you knew all of this already!

I'm back with success! Try the following site for official HP agents:
http://hp.empr.co.nz
They list the 510, in fact various model numbers (mine is RU962AA) which you will see on the underside of your notebook, and for mine I followed the links and scrolled down and found the price for a battery is NZ$182.70.
You can order online or phone them in NZ on 0508477278.
Good luck (in general).

Thanks Ourquest - you a star - we have the exact model number as your HP - so think we will just have to wait til we get to NZ.
Cant believe that you can put a question to this forum and 10 minutes later there are replies. Theres absolutely nothing that doesnt get an answer
Thanks to everyone
