I will be coming in April to NZ for a month to find out about the best location where to move my family. I am doing my homework thanks to this forum.

My job is very specific, I am a chartist, i.e. trading according to chart patterns in Forex, stocks, futures, etc...

My question is : how much of pure trading jobs are in Auckland, and how much are left in the rest of the country ?

Are there lots of institutions financial centers in Wellington or Christchurch, or are they all concentrated in Auckland ?

Also, any name of a good kiwi agent specialised in trading / finance would be much appreciated.

Interesting question. Most of the money action is in Wellington and Auckland. Are you a prop trader just now?

I have been working for a large corporation (Cargill) as a corporate fx trader for a couple of years, then I have been giving technical analysis basic and advanced training to stock and commodity traders in Switzerland for 2 years.

Finding a corporation looking for a chartist woud greatly help. I will be in Wellington tomorrow, in Auckland in about 1 week.

I have not much time left now, so the greatest thing would be to find a list of securities / forex trader in both Well. and Auckland. I have been to Auckland Chamber of Commerce, but no success. Any idea of who would have a proper trading room in Auckland or Well. ?

Sorry Phil, I don't know who would have a trading room. But perhaps you do. Did you have any luck?
