Hello Everyone,

We managed to submitted our ITA Application along with all documentation recently. Though it took us almost around 4 months to collect all the documents which included Police Clearance from 3 countries , NZQA Assements , Getting all out educational degrees and certificates , work experiences etc

We would like to know how long does it take to get back the original documentation after submitting ITA. Any help would be appreciated

Many thanks in advance
Deepak

Hi Deepak, we only got ours back 3 weeks before the issuing of Visas. They held onto ours for 5 months but that was because we hadn't sold the house and weren't ready for the visas. Hope that helps. Sure someone else will be along soon

Hi Deepak,

I couldn't help but notice that you mentioned "police clearance from 3 countries" what did that mean? Will they require you to get a police clearance from any country that you resided in for more than 12 months in the past 10 years? Please enlighten me... If so... then, oh boy we'll have to get one from Spain as my wife took her masters degree there...

I think this varies, but for us we submitted the documents at the end of Jan 08 from NZ, and received them all back by courier in less than a week.

Having said that, we only had one police check to be looked at and very straightforward references and other related documents.

Any documents in a foreign language will need to be translated by a certified translator.

Hi there,

The answer is yes , you need to get police clearance from every country
and also the country of your citizenship even if you havent lived there.

Hope this help. Also make sure that all the documents need to be translated to English if they arent in English.

Cheers
Deepak
