Anyone going to the test n Hamilton?
I guess there will be lots of people there over the weekend, but I shall be there for every second of the excitement, so if anyone else is going and fancies a chat/beer/scabby hot dog then let me know and we can arrange to meet up.
If you want to just hunt me down my usual viewing spot is half way up the big bank that between the giant screen and the sightscreens opposite the pavilion (I think officilly known as the silver bank on the tickets)
I was considering asking for predictions, but can't face reading a zillion responses along the lines of England get humped by an innings and 300 runs inside two and a half days.

Well took in the 3rd day today and it was quite a toil, but the day was livened up around 3:45 by the Barmy Army. Having had quite a skinful of booze they started to get the singing voices on, and entertained us on the embankment.
If any of you are taking in the rest of the test, as well as the others, then take a look at the Barmy link, and try to learn the songs and get involved. Nicola, my eldest-who wagged school got involved and loved every minute of it.

I find it quite scary to think that the teachers may be looking at this thread too :laugh
Glad you all had a great time, unfortunately, my chance to go see the cricket evaporated pretty quickly on Thursday lunchtime when I damaged my medial knee ligament in Rotorua. with me ending up in a leg brace and having to watch it all on TV :(
Same for this Friday, got a free ticket for the rugby and I can't go to that either..... isn't it always the way!!???

Ow Steve, I just read your blog. That sounds painful.
It's a shame you missed the cricket - we all went on Saturday and Sunday - still can't believe the boys managed to stay for both days without too many complaints. Anyway, hope your knee mends quickly. Will have to try and get across to see you soon - maybe if you're around at the weekend we could pop over???

Still suffering from the sunburn but it was a great weekend. Hope they have better luck (skill? teamwork? spatial awareness?) for the next test.

Gilly, apparently they are playing Stuart Broad in the next Test match :p , along with someone's whose name I forget. They're sitting out Armison and Hoggard.

James Anderson - Jimmy to his mates.
Good day today at the Basin. Looking forward to seeing Tim Ambrose and Paul Collingwood get centuries.
Had a strange experience yesterday. Happened to be getting some autographs just as England were leaving after their net session. Ryan Sidebottom and Monty both managed to miss the team bus back to the hotel. I jokingly said I'd give them a lift......
next thing you know I driving into Wellington with Monty in the back and 'Sid' in the front seat. Absolutely surreal.

Ah yes, it'll be a whole different ball game now that my boy Stu is playing. I hope they look after him and don't let those nasty Black Caps bully him. He's so sweet!
Can't get the matchon TV this time though. Shame. (I know there's Sky but we haven't got it yet)

Love it when you get to give lifts to people, happened with a couple of Everton players with me in the 80's!
Now there's a thread......

Listening to TMS on web and watching on Sky here and TMS is a ball behind in their commentary , but still good to hear CMJ and Co. And of course Aggers is on NZ sports coverage :D
