Hi All,

I'm about to submit my EOI with only 105 points without job offer. My recruitment agency has advised this as others in my category have been selected recently.

My question is - After submitting with 105 and presuming it's not selected, can I add a job offer to it when I receive one???? As this will increase it to 175.

Trying to get things moving...

Thanks,

Tim.

Yes, we did just that. You get a letter form your prospective employer stating that you have been offered the position and you send it to NZIS with your reference number from your EOI. It does say what to do on the forms somewhere. Put in your EOI to get the process underway - it takes long enough anyway. In fact updates are useful because it keeps bringing your file up to the top of the pile! Good luck.

Hi Again,

Many thanks for that.

That was just my thoughts, trying to jump the gun a bit and get things moving. I'm actually claiming points for two years experience but only have 23months so hope they are understanding and not a total jobs worth.

Thanks again,

Tim.

Hi Tim
I'm in the exact same boat as you. Am at 115 pts with no job offer - but with a lot of companies interested in me :) Have just decided in the last couple of days to go on a visitor visa and look for work while I'm there.

Tim.

In they frequently venture above and beyond ‘total jobs worth’s’.my experience
I found that my visa officer believed that it was their job, to use policy to find a way to reject every application put in front of them.
This is very different, to using policy to find a way to approve, every application put in front of them and in my opinion completely the wrong attitude.
‘Understanding’ is NOT a word I would ever use to describe my visa officer.

Our experience was totally different. When we eventually we did get assigned a CO she was as helpful as she possibly could, extending sypathy with the hold ups and answering questions as and when.

Yes I had one like that, then I was given her alter ego instead.:wah

I only wish I was joking, ours (second one) didn’t answer the simplest of questions one of which I asked five times, only frustrating the process further.
I sincerely hope everyone else’s experience is as yours Lockstock
