Hi all its Mrs Xmas here,

Looks like there may be a job offer in central Auck for us. And I was just wondering if there is a good supply of swimming pools (Iknow there are beautiful beaches- I am talking about lane swimming :P ), and are there any good gyms that you would recommend?

Are they expensive to join?

I think we will definatly look to renting initially and have a good look around, whats the average for a months rent i.e small house?

there are loads of pools dotted about and Gyms - Don't know prices Sorry.

Our renatl is 3 bed and okay and is in agood area with good schools and beaches within 10-15 walk and is Very reasonable.

Prices vary widely from area to area and condition of properties etc and some can be very expensive in the posh parts in the happening areas.
( we are in a pretty family friendly quiet area).

you can rent a 2 bed place in a reasonable area for 250-600$ depending where and what type.

Hi there are lots of gyms around and they are around $16 a week so not bad. There's a nice open air swimming pool near Mission Bay in Auckland and a few wave pools eg: in Henderson and Papakura.
