Here goes I guess, I've handed in my notice at work, x-rays done, police certificate back for OH, still waiting for mine, medicals booked for next week and house still on the market. I had to give 2 months notice and job offer from NZ not going to last for ever so we're taking the plunge with plans B, C and D all firmly in place in case it all goes belly up.

Now the fun begins!
It very daunting isnt it when you give your notice in and start making the final preparations! But its very exciting too..........
I am sure it will all go really well for you, keep us posted.

... certainly a strange feeling when you hand in your notice, did your company have any idea of your NZ plans?
Where are you with your application?
All the best with everything :nice1

Well, I know we are a long way off handing in notice etc, and no-one at either my or my OH's work know we are planning on making it to NZ! Unless of course they have spy-ware and are watching what I log into at work!:uhoh
It's so hard not telling anyone....
We were ages before we decided to tell our families, with mixed reception, but Mr Granite's folks are resigned to the fact that they cant stop us, and support us in our decision, tho they will be gutted when we do go. My FIL hates flying - so they're thinking about coming via Canada and crossing Canada by train................. Neither are computer users and we're trying to get them up and running on the internet - but its like dragging the dinosaurs into the present day! Mind you, I think once the MIL gets a taste for it, there will be no holding her back!
My mum had major histrionics when we told her. We didnt speak for a year, but thats a whole other story! I think after 2 x month-long visits she kind of knew we might be considering it. She just wanted a date from us, and to get her off my back I said November 2007.... we're still here tho! My dad has given me his blessing - saying the opportunities for us are too good to miss, and we have to give it our best short. I love my dad.... and I am so glad he's supporting us..
All my friends know, and are fabby about it, looking forward to their holidays in NZ chez moi!
Its really hard, when work has promoted me twice since joining in Apr 07, and I'm trying to live my life in the here and now, as if we werent moving on.
The most difficult thing is not letting the cat out the bag and saying anything at work! Folk mention forward plans: Mr Granite's new job etc, pensions, courses, next month, next quarter, next year............... I really hope we'll be out by August/September this year.....
Patience, patience, patience...
