The EPL is on Sky, along with the A league. Nothing on Terrestrial i'm afraid. Even when the WC was on in 06, the coverage(on terrestrial) mainly covered highlights with the exception of one or two live. ESPN, on Sky covers Champions league too.

Very little (fortunately - one of our criteria for choosing NZ!) but there seems to be a lot a reports on the sports section on the news. You're going to have to get into rugby, cricket, hockey and basketball (almost saturation level there!)
